A local group is helping to open doors and create new opportunities for people with developmental disabilities.

PosAbilities, a Burnaby-based not-for-profit group, is hosting their second annual health and wellness fair at Heritage Hall in Vancouver this coming Thursday, Sept. 15, from noon to 6 p.m.

The event is free and local residents are encouraged to attend.

More than 30 vendors covering a spectrum of wellness topics, from alternative medicine to fitness and nutrition and more, will have tables and displays.

There will also be free demos, performances - including jazzercise, Brain Gym, and a comedy show - and product samples. The group's community inclusive gardending project "Can you dig it" will also be at the event.

The fair is designed to support wellness and to further community inclusion by creating awareness of PosAbilities.
