Approximately 300 people turned out for the Vancouver Chrysanthemum Club show at the GardenWorks location in South Burnaby this past weekend.
People came from as far as Nanaimo and Kamloops to view the chrysanthemums on display at the annual growers’ contest.
According to club spokesperson Stan Stanley, the Vancouver group was founded in 1937.
The annual event is called “The Late Show,” because chrysanthemums bloom in fall and flower until Christmas.
