New summer fest in Metro Vancouver will have local brews, bands, and food trucks

And it's all for a great cause.

Featuring bands, breweries, and food trucks from around Metro Vancouver, a new summer fest at Burnaby's Swangard Stadium will benefit the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

A new summer event will bring local bands, breweries, and food trucks together under the sun for an afternoon of fun all for a great cause.

The first annual Foodstock will take place June 26 at Burnaby's Swangard Stadium.

The new ticketed 19+ event is a fundraiser for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (GVFB) and attendees are urged to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs to make the most of the day. Your admission gets you one drink ticket, with more available on-site for purchase; 50 per cent of the proceeds from all beverage sales will be donated to the GVFB. Meanwhile, 10 per cent of all food sales will be donated to the GVFB.

When it comes to live music, Foodstock will feature sets by Bend Sinister, Sleepy Gonzales, Generous Thieves, The Noodle Boys, Uncle Strut, Green Alderson, Madelyn Read, and Good Goin'.
