Games galore for thrift store

Gary Bell was surprised when he opened the Burnaby Hospital thrift shop recently. The store manager found a gift box, with an Electronic Arts logo and hundreds of games inside, many still new and in their original packaging.

"This is absolutely wonderful," Bell said. "We can't thank EA enough for giving us this special present, and in turn, helping the patients at Burnaby Hospital. Everything we do here is for them, so this really means a lot."

Bell estimates there are about 300 games available for Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable, Wii, Nintendo Game Cube and personal computers at $5 each. The thrift store is at 3185 Kingsway, close to the Vancouver border.
