Do you ever feel like you’re just not being heard? Or do you find you aren’t really listening to others because you’re thinking of what to say next to win the argument?
You may want to attend the upcoming Bridge for Health event at the Bob Prittie Metrotown branch of the public library.
Patrick Lee and Sarah Beley are the guest speakers on Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and they will focus on dialogue – and they don’t just mean talking.
Dialogue is something they define as listening, understanding, collaborating and reflecting, and it’s all to improve the way you communicate with others. And as you probably know, communication is key to improving relationships with coworkers, friends, family and loved ones, pretty much anyone you encounter in life.
Lee and Beley both learned about dialogue at Simon Fraser University. Lee did a semester in the dialogue program, and Beley minored in dialogue communications.
The event is free, but seating is limited, so register in advance by calling 604-436-5400.

Evening courses start on Sept. 8 at the Vancouver Chinese Lutheran Church, at 1005 Kensington Ave. in Burnaby.
