A recent Lotto 6/49 win has made a Burnaby man $5 million richer.
David O’Brien’s ticket had all the winning numbers for the May 4 draw, a ticket he bought at the Highgate Village shopping centre on Kingsway, according to a press release.
“I saw I had all six numbers but it didn’t even register,” O’Brien said in the release. “I was a bit shaken at first and then I yelled, ‘yippee!’”
O’Brien, who is a Burnaby resident, plans to do two things with his winnings: treat his wife to the finer things in life and travel the world, noted the release.
“I will do more travelling for sure,” he said. “There are so many places I want to see like Asia and Australia.”
