What is something that makes you happy and why?
Friends, friends coming here to see me all the time. I've got an open door policy here, so they can just drop in.
May I ask your age, I'm 92 1/2 , everybody who fought in the war is over 90, I was 22 when I started flying ops, I was flying a typhoon. It was a one seater plane, all fighters were one seat. I went through four typhoons in seven months. The name of my typhoon was the “pulverizer”. I inherited that name from the former pilot, he was killed on August 8 and I joined the squadron on August 10. It was sitting there and I asked the boss if that was for me, and he gave it to me.
