The B.C. Used Oil Management Association and Tire Stewardship B.C. have teamed up to send a group of "ambassadors" to roughly 700 tire shops and oil-change auto shops around B.C., promoting the recycling of used oil, antifreeze and tires.

On July 23, ambassadors stopped by Burnaby's Kal Tire location on Boundary to make sure the recycling program was working for the local shop.

The B.C. Used Oil Management Association oversees the provincewide collection and recycling of used oil and antifreeze, while Tire Stewardship B.C. handles scrap tires.

All Canadian Tire locations also accept drop-offs of used oil, antifreeze and tires.
