If you have a teenager in the house who’s looking for a summer project, why not check out Reading Buddies at Burnaby Public Library?

The Metrotown branch is accepting applications from teens in grades 9 through 12 to take part in this summer’s program, which will run Thursdays from July 5 to Aug. 2 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

The teens are paired up with children for one-on-one reading that will help give the young children extra reading practice and provide teens with a chance to develop leadership skills.

Successful applicants will be invited to attend an interview at the Metrotown library on Friday, June 15, and there will be mandatory training session on Thursday, June 28.
