In recent issues, the NOW has published the first instalments of our special series, Then & Now, taking a closer look at the people and places of Burnaby's past and present, including the story of lifelong Burnaby residents marking their 60th anniversary and a city resident who spent her entire career with the Burnaby RCMP.

Today, we check out longtime city institution, Kask Bros., and its part in the development of the early city. Keep an eye on upcoming editions for more instalments in the Then & Now series, and watch our website at www.burnabynow.com for a photo gallery of images from the series.
