There are tons of activities on this weekend, so you will have to choose between our top picks for Aug. 9 and 10. Or better yet, you can try and attend them all. The weekend forecast calls for clear skies with highs around 25C, so bring water, sunscreen and a hat.

Kensington Park is at 6159 Curtis St.
2 Don't miss the 2014 Africa Musical and Cultural Festival at Swangard Stadium on Saturday, from noon to 8 p.m. This year's event features drummers, cultural performances, dance groups, food and more. Admission is free. Swangard Stadium is in the northwest corner of Burnaby's Central Park.
3 Drop by the Ethiopian Community Association's annual summer festival on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Wesburn Park. There will be an Ethiopian coffee ceremony, a poetry reading, art, fashion, food and children's activities. Many local dignitaries have been invited to attend, so you may see some familiar faces.
Wesburn Park is at Patterson Avenue and Moscrop Street.
