The Burnaby Village Museum is hosting a series of events for Halloween this weekend.

Halloween is next weekend, but the Burnaby Village Museum is putting on a host of fun events for all ages.
Here are our Top 5 picks for weekend events for Oct. 25 and 26. There's a haunted walking tour for adults, a kids' night at the museum, and a daytime children's event for the wee ones. Don't forget the Burnaby Neighbourhood House is hosting a housewarming party this weekend, and St. Francis de Sales school is holding a bazaar.

1 Want to get in the mood for Halloween? The Burnaby Village Museum is putting on Haunted Village, on Saturday, Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Admission is $9 for children two to 12 years old, or $14 for youth, adults and seniors.
The museum will be full of spirits and spectres. Admission includes trick-or-treating, entertainment and carousel rides.

2 Into something a little more spooky? The museum is also hosting walking tours of Burnaby's eerie homes in the Deer Lake area. The tours are on Saturday, Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct, 26, from 9 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $21 (or $18.90 for museum members), but the walk is for people 15 years or older. The tour covers five homes, including the Ceperley mansion, which is supposedly haunted. 3 If you have little ones who are scared easily, there's an earlier children's event at the museum on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes and enjoy carnival games, unlimited carousel rides and Halloween crafts. 4 St. Francis de Sales School is hosting a bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the school gym, at 6656 Balmoral St. There will be a silent auction, fresh Okanagan apples, homemade lunches, table rentals, home baking and more.

5 Don't miss the housewarming party at the Burnaby Neighbourhood House on Sunday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The local organization is celebrating its move to a new, purpose-built space on Beresford Street, close to the Metrotown SkyTrain station.
