  1. Fancy a game of Quidditch? The Canada National Championships for the sport inspired by the Harry Potter series are on this Saturday and Sunday. Quidditch, for the uninitiated, is a co-ed full contact sport that involves running around a field with a broom tucked between one's legs. The championships are on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Swangard Stadium, 3883 Imperial St. Admission by donation. Info: www.quidditchcanada.com/nationals.
  2. Turn your lights off this Saturday for Earth Hour from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. The annual energy-saving initiative takes place around the world, and it's meant to raise awareness about climate change. Light some candles and stay home with your loved ones, or head to the Riverway and Burnaby Mountain clubhouses for a fixed-menu dinner by candlelight.   3. This weekend is your last chance to catch two art exhibits. Drawn: Exploring the Line, is an collection of drawings by Aimée Henny Brown, Anson Aguirre Firth and Teodora Zamfirescu, at Burnaby Arts Council's Deer Lake Gallery, but the show ends on Saturday, March 28. The gallery is at 6584 Deer Lake Ave. and is open on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free. The exhibition titled Visualizing a Culture for Strangers: Chinese Export Paintings of the Nineteenth Century ends on Sunday, March 29. The show is at the Burnaby Art Gallery, 6344 Deer Lake Ave., and it's open from noon to 5 p.m. all weekend. Admission is by donation, but the suggested donation is $5.   4. Take the kids to the Easter egg hunt and Loonie swim on Sunday, March 28 at CG Brown Pool from noon to 1:30 p.m. Admission is $1. Participants must be in bathing suits, and any child seven and younger must be accompanied by an adult. The pool is at 3702 Kensington Ave.
  5. The Metro Women's Soccer league is hosting their cup finals at Burnaby Lake Sports Complex West on Sunday, March 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be premier to division four teams playing. Admission is free. The premier match is at 1 p.m.
