Check out Tara Nicholson: Arctic Claims, an exhibition at the Burnaby Art Gallery, on June 3 and 4. Nicholson incorporates large-scale photography to document, question and visualize the reality and processes surrounding scientific work currently taking place in remote and often disputed territories. In 2015, she travelled to Western Greenland to produce a new body of work exploring climate change research. In 2017, she went to Inuvik, N.W.T. to record and study alongside climate scientists. The gallery, at 6344 Deer Lake Ave., is open from noon till 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Participants take transit, ride share, car share, walk, cycle or work from home.
