Attend the West Coast dollhouse and miniature show and sale on Sunday, Oct. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at IUOE hall, 4333 Ledger Ave. Tickets cost $6 for adults, $2 for children ages six to 12, $5 for youth and seniors, and $12 for a family (kids under six get in free). Vendors, exhibits, hourly door prizes, charity raffle (with raffle proceeds for Covenant House), lots of free parking and food available. No large strollers, please.

Lend a hand in Central Park on Sunday, Oct. 1 by removing invasive Himalayan blackberry, and pulling ivy and morning glory. Volunteers are asked to meet at 9:45 a.m. the parking lot off Imperial Street (next to the lower pond). Participants will sign in and then walk to the site. The clean-up goes until 1 p.m. Bring a refillable water bottle, a jacket in case it rains, and sturdy, comfortable shoes. Gloves, tools and refreshments are provided.
