Take the junior chess whiz in your household to the kids’ chess club at the Bob Prittie library branch on Saturday, March 3. Kids ages five to 12 are invited to take part in the informal chess games, which are facilitated by Curtis Lister. This is a drop-in program so no registration is required. Space is limited, though, so arrive early. Parents of children under 10 must remain in the activity room. It’s all happening at 6100 Willingdon Ave. from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Drop by the Edmonds Community Centre on Saturday, March 3 for a quilt expo. Stroll through a beautiful exhibit of quilts on loan from the Pacific Spirit Quilters Guild, observe quilters in action and even try your hand at a small project to take home.
