Take on the challenge or cheer on the participants in the Women2Warrior
event on this Sunday at Swangard Stadium. The women-only event is a
fundraiser for the Easter Seals camp program for children with disabilities.
More than 400 women from all over the Lower Mainland will run through a
five-kilometre obstacle course through Burnaby's Central Park, starting at
the stadium and then weaving through the trails. Each participant agrees to
raise at least $300, and last year's event raised more than $100,000.
Women2Warrior runs from 10 a.m. until about 2 p.m. Women can register onsite
as long as they have the $300 fundraising fee. For more information, go to
