1 Get exploring at the Spring Break Scavenger Hunt: A Story of Toys put on at the Burnaby Village Museum, 6501 Deer Lake Ave. March 28 is the last day of the event, from noon to 4 p.m. Toys take on personalities and come to life through storytelling, crafts, performances and, of course, a scavenger hunt. Tickets are $7 for children older than two years, which includes carousel rides, crafts and entertainment. Members get free admission.

2 Get hunting for bargains at the flea market on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Confederation Community Centre, 4585 Albert St. Find a great deal offered at more than 50 tables that will have pre-loved items on display. It’s free admission. For more information, call 604-294-1936.

3 Get thinking about the planet for at least 60 minutes because Earth Hour is back. Join the City of Burnaby and other cities across the world in turning off the lights and electronics for a moment of darkness. Facilities in Burnaby will be shutting their lights off from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. There’s plenty to do at home by candlelight, from board games to telling stories or just enjoy the silence. 4 Get appreciating a new exhibitionat the Burnaby Arts Council’s Deer Lake Gallery, 6584 Deer Lake Ave., which starts on March 29 and ends on April 19: Frames of Reference, exhibiting the work of Doug Ibbott and Anouk Jonker. 5 Get visualizing at the Team Safiya – Ride to Conquer Cancer fundraiser on Saturday night at the James St. Café & Grill, 3819 Canada Way. Join Sam Louie, adjunct professor in the faculty of pharmaceutical sciences at UBC, as he navigates the audience through a journey of reflection, discovery and inspiration as he explores the realm of better leadership through improved visual literacy.
