UPDATE: The dog has been found and returned to the rescue group.
A local dog rescue group is looking for a missing daschund-chihuahua cross that escaped on Saturday, Dec. 12.
The dog’s name is Bethany, and she’s likely cold and hungry.
“She was with one of our volunteers and she was so afraid. She bit one of our volunteers, … and he dropped her and she bolted,” said Jan Carroll of Journey Home Dog Rescue. “She’s just afraid. That’s why (if someone) catches her, she’ll just run away. She is really afraid of humans. She was abused in her former home.”
Bethany weighs roughly 11.5 pounds and has reddish-brown fur. She was spotted on Monday, Dec. 14 around 2 p.m. in the Government Road area, not far from Seaforth Elementary. If you spot her, call 778-688-6340, 778-371-5174, 778-918-0395 or 604-928-1060.
