The Burnaby NOW staff is once again offering its Top 5 Things to Do This Weekend. Here are our suggestions for Feb. 10 to 12:
1 Get into the Valentine's spirit with a 5 Valentine's Skate at the Bill Copeland Sports Centre. It's taking place on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 12: 30 p.m. The arena is located at 3676 Kensington.
2 Get some deals at a giant indoor flea market being held on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 9: 30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Confederation Centre, 4585 Albert St. For more information call 604-297-4815.
3 Get literary and meet CINDER author Marissa Meyer at Chapters Metrotown on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. Meyer, author of the bestseller that offers a futuristic twist on the classic tale of Cinderella, will be available for questions and signings and will be doing a reading.
4 Get out and enjoy an exhibit of Sabina Proulx's artwork. An Ensemble of Printmaking Fine Art by Sabina Proulx is now showing at the Bob Prittie Metrotown Library, 6100 Willingdon Ave. Info: www.burn abyartgallery.ca.
5 Get out and support protests against cuts to Community Living of B.C. services. A group of families has organized rallies across the Lower Mainland to protest cuts to services, including a rally in Burnaby on Sunday, Feb. 12 at 11 a.m. at the Metrotown SkyTrain station.
