Rocking robins sing Burnaby residents into summer

It’s “wildlife Wednesday” and that means the Wildlife Rescue Association of B.C. has its latest submission.

It’s “wildlife Wednesday” and that means the Wildlife Rescue Association of B.C. has its latest submission.

“American Robins are the first signs of early spring and summer, you can hear their songs early morning, or into the evening if you pay close attention. We found this Robin in a window box in Maple Ridge and brought it to Wildlife Rescue hospital. After a thorough examination, our staff assessed fluid buildup in the knee. Wildlife staff have been providing medication to decrease the fluid buildup and providing a balance diet to assist in healthy weight gain. The American Robin will soon be ready to go back into the wild once the fluid buildup decreases, and it appears to be healthy enough to be back in his natural habitat.”
