Long-time baker Hollie Fraser got her eye-catching Punk Rock Pastries bakeshop off the ground in Burnaby earlier this year, and she’s taking on the spirit of Halloween right now in the most gruesomely delicious way with her over-the-top realistic creepy treats.

Fraser, who recently won the championship title on Food Network Canada’s Big Bake Halloween, has been whipping up some delectably demonic treats lately, from things that creep and crawl to bloody body parts.

With names like “Pie Brains,” “Be Still My Heart,” “Slimy But Satisfying,” and “My Next Victim,” you know things are going to be creative.

Take “Slimy But Satisfying,” for example: They are eerily real-looking grubs that are actually sugary sweet. Fraser admits she’s even eaten actual grubs in real life. Yikes!

Also counted among the “gross and the scary” creations you’ll find at Punk Rock Pastries are anatomical hearts, and cupcakes with severed fingers sticking out of them.

Of course, it’s all in good fun, and if you want to get your hands on these goodies before Halloween ends, you’ll have to head to Punk Rock Pastries’ shop. They’re located at 5548 Hastings Street in Burnaby.
