Art of transit on display at Burnaby gallery

Chances are that last time you boarded a bus, you weren't thinking about its artistic potential. But while others may consider buses only a mundane form of transportation, Cindy Buckshon considers them inspiration for art.

But while others may consider buses only a mundane form of transportation, Cindy Buckshon considers them inspiration for art.

Transit Roots, an exhibition of transit artwork by Buckshon, is on at the Burnaby Arts Council's Deer Lake Gallery until March 3.

The gallery, at 6584 Deer Lake Ave., is open Tuesday to Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

Admission is always free.
