Burnaby Clef Society presents, a piano recital with honours students, 1 to 5 p.m. at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, at 6450 Deer Lake Ave. Strawberry cake and tea served at intermission. Admission is free, and cost of tickets for the strawberry tea is yet to be determined.

Burnaby Public Library presents, Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town, librarians will be reading excerpts from Stephen Leacock's 1912 book about a fictional town in Ontario. The readings will take place at the Burnaby Village Museum, 6501 Deer Lake Ave., from 2 to 4 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Burnaby Community Camping Bureau.
