The ROAR Team presents Burnaby's talent show winners, performing at South Burnaby's Rumble Park from 11: 30 a.m. to 2: 30 p.m.; picnic rain or shine. Enjoy Stephen Scaccia, winner of Burnaby's Got Talent Show, Megan Twist, who won this year's Edmond's City Fair Talent Show, singer-songwriter, Tonia Jurbin, Country Western singer, Nadra Burns, and South Burnaby's RainShadow Band, providing entertainment for all ages.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 28
Public art collective, Burnaby Artists Guild is inviting the public to the Edmonds Community Centre from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. to help paint a mural for sick kids. Artists from the Guild will create an overall picture using the community's five by seven inch individual paintings to create two murals of four-by-four feet to brighten the walls of the Children's Hospital. All ages and abilities welcome. All arts materials supplied.

Burnaby Art Gallery Outreach Exhibition, Familiar Strangers/ Les Etrangers Familiers, Agnes Ananichuk and Sylvain Tanguay, features works by two artists who have engaged in a process of long-distance collaboration between Victoria, B.C. and Amos, Quebec using content from their respective families' collections of old photographs to develop print works using a variety of techniques. Burnaby Art Gallery Outreach Exhibition: Nic Vandergugten, features artist and printmaker Nicolas Vandergugten working out of Ground Zero Printmakers Society in the Chinatown district of Victoria, B.C. Works include a series centered on Victoria's Johnson Street Bridge, chronicling the life and death of this iconic landmark and another series based on the expressive nature of Victoria's musicians.
