This year is all about reconnection for Safe & Sound Entertainment and the Safe & Sound Music Fest that it is bringing to Burnaby.

After spending the last couple years feeling nostalgia for large-scale live music events, the SSMF returns this spring to reconnect with the community on May 29 at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby.

Headlined by Ty Dolla $ign, CKay, Ayra Starr, Rascalz Ft. Kardinal Offishall and Vancouver’s own Boslen, the boutique festival boasts an impressive lineup of local artists anchored by international talent celebrating Hip Hop, R&B and Afrobeat music.

“We’re excited to reconnect with the people in our communities at SSMF after being isolated without events for so long,” said a news release. “Being able to create a fun and safe environment that supports so many talented local musicians and visual artists is something that we’re really passionate about. Add in some of Metro Vancouver’s best food trucks, leisure games, brand activations and international talent, and you’ve got the recipe for a perfect day celebrating the best of what our region has to offer.”

In an effort to keep the event accessible to as many people as possible, general admission and VIP admission tickets for SSMF are now available at safeandsoundfest.com starting at $59.
