Calling all boys who love to sing.

The B.C. Boys Choir is once again offering its SongWave 2012 boys' singing program in Burnaby.

The program is for boys aged seven to 12 with unchanged voices, and boys can be recommended to the program by their music teacher.

The program is an honour choir that gives boys who love to sing a place to do so in a safe and encouraging environment.

Over the past four years, the choir's SongWave programs have attracted more than 200 boys from 90 schools in 10 communities around the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.

SongWave 2012 runs for six weeks on Wednesdays, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, from Jan. 18 to Feb. 22.

The B.C. Boys' Choir is currently in its 44th year, with 75-plus members in five choirs in Burnaby, Vancouver and Nanaimo. In Burnaby, the choir is based at the Shadbolt Centre.

Boys interested in SongWave can speak to their school music teacher or get in touch with the B.C. Boys Choir directly. For more details, see www.bcboyschoir.org or call 1-888-909-8282.
