Have you always wanted to design a mural?
Well, the Burnaby Arts Council is looking for an artist to produce a commissioned piece of artwork to be displayed on the front of the Deer Lake Gallery.
The arts council is looking for someone to design and produce a mural that will increase “cultural vibrancy” and raise Burnaby’s profile as an art hub in the region, according to the Burnaby Arts Council.
Interested artists, muralists and creators have until Friday, April 27 to submit an application. Applications must be made online at www.burnabyartscouncil.org. For more information, call 604-298-7322.
The chosen artist will be notified on May 4 and will be meeting with the Burnaby Arts Council on May 22. The mural is expected to be complete by July with an unveiling planned for July 7 at the Burnaby Arts Council’s Summer Arts Festival.
