Burnaby Potters' Guild holds virtual Mother's Day event

Non-profit artisans' group can't hold its regular in-person exhibitions during COVID-19, so it's pivoted to an online space
Burnaby Potters Mother's Day
The Burnaby Potters' Guild's Mother's Day sale offers an array of both functional and decorative wares. It runs online from April 22 to 25.

Trying to think of something beyond flowers and chocolates for Mother's Day this year? The Burnaby Potters' Guild can help.

The guild is hosting a virtual Mother's Day sale from April 22 to 25, featuring an array of both functional and decorative wares made by guild members. You can browse the online shop for a variety of items: kitchen ware, bowls, mugs, pitchers and teapots, plates and platters, serving and baking dishes, decor and display items and more. (You can't actually shop until the sale opens, but you can check out some of what will be available.)

Items must be paid for online and then picked up at Capitol Hill Hall, 361 Hastings St. (at Howard) on May 1, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The Burnaby Potters' Guild is a non-profit organization that's been operating since 1977, offering a place for local artisans to connect and work together. In non-pandemic times, the guild holds regular seasonal exhibition and sale events; the virtual sales give them a chance to safely show their wares to the public through COVID-19.
