Vancouver Sings, a featured concert in MusicFest Vancouver, was a 75th anniversary celebration for CBC Radio and was hosted by Bill Richardson.
It featured performances by Vancouver-based choirs musica intima, Vancouver Chamber Choir and Elektra Women's Choir, along with guest artists Touché, a vocal jazz ensemble from Denmark.
Burnaby residents Siri Olesen and Shane Raman are part of musica intima, as is New Westminster's Melanie Adams.
Also from Burnaby are Vancouver Chamber Choir members Lorraine Reinhardt and Tom Ellis.
Also highlighted during the evening were works by a massed choir that also included representation from Burnaby's Phoenix Chamber Choir, as well as Chor Leoni, Vancouver Bach Choir, Vancouver Cantata Singers and Laudate Singers.
The concert was recorded by CBC Radio 2 for airing on Oct. 30 as part of a day-long broadcast featuring eight concerts nationwide.
