Burnaby-based talents are featured in an upcoming concert by the Vivaldi Chamber Choir.

The choir is presenting Love!, a concert of romance in music that spans the eras from Renaissance madrigals to jazz and contemporary Vancouver compositions. It’s onstage Saturday, March 10 at St. Helen’s Anglican Church Hall in Vancouver, and Sunday, March 11 at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Langley.

The choir is accompanied by Burnaby resident Barry Yamanouchi on piano – in fact, Yamanouchi has been the accompanist since the choir was founded, in Burnaby, by Rita Radzikowski back in 1990.

Canadian-Colombian guitarist David Sossa joins the choir as a special guest artist. Sossa, too, brings Burnaby connections to the stage – he’s the department head for guitar at the B.C. Conservatory of Music and teaches at its Burnaby location.

Guest vocalist Dalannah Gail Bowen brings her blues-rock-soul sounds to the stage as guest vocalist.
