Burnaby Writers' Society hosts Spoken Ink night

Poetry and prose are on the menu when the Burnaby Writers' Society gathers for its next Spoken Ink night. The reading night, which features Jordan Ellinger and K.E. Abel, is set for Tuesday, May 15 at 8 p.m. at La Fontana Caffe.

The reading night, which features Jordan Ellinger and K.E. Abel, is set for Tuesday, May 15 at 8 p.m. at La Fontana Caffe.

Ellinger is a recent first-place winner in the Writers of the Future Contest. His work can be seen in AE - The Canadian Speculative Fiction Review and in the anthologies Time in a Bottle and Warhammer: The Gotrek and Felix Anthology.

In 2012, he partnered with illustrator Luke Eidenschink to produce the graphic novel The Seven.

He also helms Every Day Publishing, publisher of Every Day Fiction, Every Day Poets, Flash Fiction Chronicles and Raygun Revival.

Spoken Ink is presented by the Burnaby Writers' Society on the third Tuesday of each month (except July and August).
