Burnaby performers are invited to share their talents with their neighbours.
Burnaby Neighbourhood House is continuing its open mic series at the Burnaby Neighbourhood House Community Hall, 5024 Rumble St.
It runs monthly on the first Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Each evening includes an open mic portion, where seven performers can take the mic for 10 minutes. Itβs open to singers, instrumentalists, poets, comedians and more β or, if you prefer, you can just drop in to watch. Those who want to perform should arrive at 6:15 to register.
Admission is by donation, with a recommended donation of $4 per person.
Each night winds up with a half-hour by a featured performer.
Tonight (Jan. 3), you can enjoy the talents of the Canadian folk duo The Silver Brothers. On Feb. 7, you can hear from singer-songwriter Chris Ronald, while March 7 will feature singer-songwriter Ranj Singh. The April 4 session is set to feature pianist Matthew Stewart.
