Concerts, dance fill the summer at Deer Lake Park

It's going to be an action-packed summer at Deer Lake Park. Once again, the park plays host to the Live Nation outdoor summer concert series - up first is Bon Iver on May 25, with Foster the People on June 25 and Florence + the Machine on July 20.

It's going to be an action-packed summer at Deer Lake Park.

Once again, the park plays host to the Live Nation outdoor summer concert series - up first is Bon Iver on May 25, with Foster the People on June 25 and Florence + the Machine on July 20.

Also returning are Symphony in the Park - the annual and very popular Vancouver Symphony Orchestra concert - on July 15 and, of course, the Burnaby Blues and Roots Festival on Aug. 11.

There are also two special dance events - Salsa! Salsa! Salsa! on July 26, running from 7 to 9 p.m., and a Latin Dance Extravaganza on Aug. 26, running from 3 to 6 p.m. Both of those events are free and include instruction, demonstrations and social dance.
