Beautiful jazz music with holiday sounds will raise money for Dixon Transition Society in Burnaby, B.C. on Dec. 16.

Dixon Transition Society will host its 11th annual Christmas Jazz Concert this Friday, Dec. 16 with a host of performances by fabulous local artists.

All proceeds from the concert go to the non-profit charity Dixon Transition Society’s transitional housing programs which support women and children fleeing domestic violence.

Women accessing services from the non-profit are “provided food, clothing, basic personal and household supplies, workshops, counselling support” at no cost.

The concert will feature artists including accomplished jazz pianist Miles Black, ethereal vocalist Glenda Rae, fantastic guitarist and vocalist Brett Wade and “drums wizard” Phil Robertson. The performers have donated their time and talent for the concert.

If you want to experience the jazz concert, but can’t be there in-person, you can buy tickets for a virtual livestream, with links sent prior to the concert.

The event also includes a silent auction of a variety of items, including gift cards to local restaurants, museums and getaways.
