Interested in life drawing but don’t yet have the skills?

The Shadbolt Centre for the Arts is offering a Beginning Life Drawing workshop on Wednesday, Jan. 16 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in Studio F.

Instructor Shelley Rothenburger is leading the class, which is designed for those who would like to attend the centre’s regular life drawing sessions but who need to build confidence in their figure drawing skills.

“Explore the human form by giving attention to proportion, gesture, expressive line and tonal drawing techniques,” says a write-up about the class. “An undraped model is used in a respectful atmosphere.”

Supplies are included. The workshop costs $31.95 regular, or $25.56 for seniors. (Note that the studio is not wheelchair-accessible.)

You can find out more at www.shadboltcentre.com or sign up through www.burnaby.ca/webreg (course 487300).
