The air is chillier, the days are shorter, and fall arrives this Sunday in Burnaby. But even though the glory days of summer have passed, there is still plenty to do in the city this weekend. From cabarets to flower exhibits to swapmeets, Burnaby is full of indoor fun. We're continuing with our popular feature - our staff's Top 5 (Or More) Things To Do This Weekend. Here's our Top 5 list for Sept. 20 to 22.

1. Get clapping for Love at the 'Bolt, the opening cabaret night in the Shadbolt Centre's Live at the 'Bolt series. The evening features cabaret star Sharron Matthews and six teams of City of Burnaby staff members in a sing-off, Friday at 8 p.m. at the Shadbolt Centre at 6450 Deer Lake Ave. For more information, go to www.shadboltcentre.com.

2. Get bargain-hunting at the South Burnaby United Church garage sale, which takes place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at 7591 Gray Ave. at Rumble Street. The sale is sponsored by As One That Serves Men's Club, and the proceeds go to charitable causes.

3. Get plant shopping at the Burnaby Cactus and Succulent Plants Society's sale. The sale is at the Royal Square Mall at Eighth Avenue and McBride Boulevard in New Westminster on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

4. Get admiring the floral displays at The Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Vancouver's 35th anniversary show at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown at 6083 McKay Ave. Registration takes place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, and the official opening of the flower exhibit is at 1:30 p.m. There will be a flower demonstration by 45th headmaster, Sen'ei Ikenobo and a Reishiki-Ike demonstration by Professor Shigeru Matsunaga. The cost for attending the flower exhibition is $10, and the cost for attending both the exhibition and the headmaster's floral demonstration is $35.

5. Get stocking up on kids' clothes, toys and more at the Kidstuff Only Swapmeet on Saturday at 9 a.m. at Willingdon Community Centre at 1491 Carleton Ave. Admission is free for buyers.
