Juno award-winning artist Lights made a special appearance at Burnaby's Alpha Secondary on Wednesday, April 4. The "electro-rock" singer-songwriter's performance was part of a prize pack that Alpha won through a contest from MusicCounts, a Canadian music education charity.
As part of the prize, Alpha gets a collection of instruments (worth more than $12,000) for the students.
The school was chosen based on economic need, state of its current instrument collection and number of students.
