Photos: Burnaby celebrates Pride at Civic Square

Drag and ballroom performers took to the stage at Civic Square, dancing, lip-syncing and taking in the sun last weekend - check out the sweet styles and fantastic activities celebrants got up to.

On Saturday, July 23, Burnaby Pride hosted a rollicking day of festivities to celebrate the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

Performers including Edzi'u, Parlour Panther, Anjalica and King Fisher swept the Civic Square stage and delighted the audience with dance, song and fabulous looks aplenty.

The Kiki House of Gvasalia showed off their vogue dance skills, with artists Red, MiuMiu, Father and Mother Gvasalia performing to a mix edited by Katria Gvasalia.

When a protester opposed to hormone blockers appeared, a group formed as counter-protest.

Burnaby Pride is a community to "support, honour and celebrate 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals in our community."
