Have you heard of the Cinq a Sept?

French for “Five to Seven,” a Cinq a Sept event is an after-work gathering that features mingling, food and drink – and Deer Lake Gallery offers a series of them.

The next gathering, and the first one of the fall season, is set for Friday, Oct. 5 at the gallery at 6584 Deer Lake Ave.

The gallery is bringing in Juno-nominated guitarist-composer Bill Coon to provide entertainment, while guests mingle and check out Watermarks, a group exhibition featuring the work of Michael Abelman, Amelia Alcock-White and Graham Coulthard.

Tickets are free, but as space is limited, anyone who wants to attend is asked to register at www.eventbrite.com.
