Students at Burnaby Central Secondary are getting into character for a play in the school's brand new theatre. Jabberwock, written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin, is based on the life of James Thurber, cartoonist for The New Yorker.

Students at Burnaby Central Secondary are getting into character for a play in the school's brand new theatre. Jabberwock, written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin, is based on the life of James Thurber, cartoonist for The New Yorker. The play focuses on his young life during the First World War. Central's drama teacher Carol Mann has adapted the play to include elements of Alice and Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.

The performances are on March 13, 14 and 15 at 7 p.m., and there is a free gala after the opening show. Tickets are $10, $7 for students and seniors. For more information, call the school at 604-296-6850.
