Turning waste into wearable art: That’s the goal of an upcoming Trash Fashion workshop at Deer Lake Gallery.

The workshop, set for Sunday, Oct. 20 at 2 p.m., is one of several special events running in conjunction with the gallery’s ongoing ReVision: the art of recycling exhibition.

For $5, you can join a professional costume designer and create your own unique wearable creation for the Trash Fashion show that’s happening as part of the ReVision closing event on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m.

Check out www.burnabyartscouncil.org for all the details, or sign up for the Trash Fashion workshop through www.eventbrite.ca. You need to bring your own recycled and waste materials to use for your project - check the Eventbrite link for a list of ideas.
