The Scaredy Cat Cabaret, onstage at Shadbolt Centre Oct. 28, explores our common fears and anxieties in theatrical form.

It's the time of year for all things frightening – and that includes onstage at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts.

Burnaby's arts centre is hosting a Scaredy Cat Cabaret on Thursday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m.

"Celebrating all that scares the bejesus out of us, eight Vancouver-based live performers come together to share their stories of what freaks them out the most. Alternately terrifying and funny, each artist delves into their (and all of our) common fears – as well as our common need to connect," says a press release about the show. "It is an evening both to bond over our mutual vulnerabilities and laugh at ourselves as we purge our anxieties in this unique and engrossing multi-genre cabaret."

Shadbolt Centre is at 6450 Deer Lake Ave. The show is running both live and livestreamed, and tickets are available now for $30 for the in-person show or $15 for the livestream.

You can buy tickets online or call the box office  at 605-205-3000.

The Shadbolt Centre operates with COVID-19 safety protocols in place, and proof of vaccination is required to attend live shows.
