Thanksgiving is upon us, and while many of us will be devouring delicious dinners with loved ones this weekend, there are plenty of other things to do in the city - including a Hindu autumn festival, high school reunions and a Thanksgiving skate. We're continuing with our popular feature - our staff's Top 5 (Or More) Things To Do This Weekend. Here's our Top 5 list for Oct. 11 to 13.

1. Get laughing with Boeing-Boeing, the classic farce about a swinging bachelor and his slightly turbulent life, which is coming to the Shadbolt Centre stage as part of the Arts Club on Tour series. Boeing-Boeing is on stage at the Shadbolt tonight at 8 p.m. Tickets for the Burnaby show are $42, or $38 for seniors and students. Tickets are available online through www.shadboltcentre.com or by calling the box office at 604-205-3000. For more on the production, see www.artsclub.com.

2. Get celebrating the annual Hindu autumn festival, Durga Puja with UTSAB - A Cultural Heritage of Bengal. The festival welcomes the eternal mother of strength, power and wisdom, according to a press release from the organization. This annual Hindu festival is celebrated all over the world in honour of the Hindu goddess Durga. The worship of Ma Durga in autumn is the year's largest Hindu festival and the most important festival in Bengal, the release adds. The celebration is open to all people of all faiths. It is a five-day non-stop festival, which began yesterday and runs until Monday, at the Hindu temple at 3885 Albert St. For more information, go to www.utsab.ca.

3. Get reunited - that is, if you attended Burnaby North Secondary School in 1963 or Burnaby South Secondary School in 1973. Both classes are holding reunions this Saturday. The Burnaby North reunion is at the Executive Plaza Hotel, 405 North Rd., Coquitlam. For more information, call 604-802-8772. The Burnaby South reunion is in the Fraser room at Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel. For more information and to register, go to http://burnabysouthreunion2013.webs.com or email [email protected].

4. Get on the ice at the Thanksgiving all-ages loonie skate on Monday from noon until 3:30 p.m. The skate takes place at the Kensington Recreation Complex, at 6159 Curtis St. This public skate is free for children three years and younger. The ratio of children to adults must not be greater than 3 to 1. Skates and helmets are included in the admission fee. Skating bars are not available during loonie skates. For more information, call 604-297-4535.

5. Get walking in one of Burnaby's many parks with friends and family this weekend. Take a stroll around Burnaby Lake or wander along Deer Lake and check out the many cultural offerings in the area. There are plenty of spots for a crisp fall walk in the city, so check out those changing leaves and get a little fresh air.
