Alpha Technologies powered up for a big win last night at the Burnaby Business Excellence Awards.
The Burnaby-based company, which develops powering solutions for everything from traffic to renewable energy industries, came home from the award gala with the top prize - Business of the Year, according to an email from the Burnaby Board of Trade.
Other category winners were also announced at the gala at the Hilton Vancouver Metrotown.
The winners are:
- Everland Natural Foods, Small Business of the Year
- Corinne Kessel of Greenscape Design and Décor, Business Person of the Year
- Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society, Not-For-Profit Organization of the Year
- False Creek Collision ECO, Environmental Sustainability
- Alture Properties, Entrepreneurial Spirit
- Webtech Wireless, Business Innovation
- VanCity, Burnaby Community Spirit
- Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, Family Friendly Organization
ABC Recycling was also inducted into the Business Hall of Fame. The 13th annual awards were a joint initiative between the board and the City of Burnaby.
