Burnaby residents raised $7,800 for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank recently

Burnaby residents were in a giving mood in June, helping raise $7,800 for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. The funds were raised during the Share It Forward campaign organized by Save-On-Foods and Western Family.

Burnaby residents were in a giving mood in June, helping raise $7,800 for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank.

The funds were raised during the Share It Forward campaign organized by Save-On-Foods and Western Family. During the three-day event, Save-On and Western Family donated 25 per cent of net proceeds of Western Family products sold at Save-On and PriceSmart stores, up to $250,000.

In all more than $28,000 was raised by stores in Burnaby, Vancouver, North Vancouver and New Westminster.
