Fresh off being named to a prestigious list, one of Burnaby’s best restaurants has partnered with an iconic winery for a special dinner.

On Friday, November 26, Burnaby’s Hart House Restaurant will partner with Italy’s Casale di Giglio for a special winery dinner.

The Casale di Giglio estate is located in Lazio’s Agro Pontino valley, approximately 50 km south of Rome.

Casale del Giglio’s Export Manager Elise Rialland will speak to the wines, as guests enjoy a 5-course menu prepared by Gordon Goss, who recently took on the role of Executive Chef.

Courses include sablefish, pasta and sweetbreads. Cost is $179 person including taxes and gratuities

Tickets for the dinner are available online.

OpenTable last month released a list of the best 100 eateries to help Canadians extend outdoor patio season based on establishments with the highest rated numbers, which includes Burnaby's Hart House Restaurant

According to one of its surveys conducted, OpenTable says 45 per cent of B.C. residents are planning to continue dining outdoors far into the fall.

“For the first time ever, we’re releasing a best outdoor dining list in the fall, so anyone who wants to make the most of this year’s extended patio season can choose from among the best-rated patios in the country," OpenTable Canada spokesperson Matt Davis said in a release.

"Diners are determined to enjoy every last moment of the season, and restaurants are going above and beyond to make it happen."

OpenTable's list was conducted from diner reviews collected between June 1, 2020, and May 31, 2021.

All restaurants with a minimum overall score and number of qualifying reviews were selected for considerations.
