TED talk hits milestone

General Fusion founder and chief scientist Michel Laberge has another reason to be proud.

Laberge’s TED talk on the efforts made to develop a new energy source hit the one million viewer mark earlier this month. The talk was given in Vancouver two years ago and lays out how private companies are trying to find a way to fuse atomic particles to create clean energy, according to a press release.

“Everyone in the fusion science community is working toward the same goal,” Laberge said in a release. “So while we at General Fusion aim to be the first to develop commercially-viable fusion power, it’s a friendly competition. Clean energy, everywhere, forever, will be good for the whole planet.”
