While we’ve all been breathlessly awaiting the opening of Whole Foods in Brentwood, another store snuck in under the radar.
Koby’s Produce Town opened at 1902 Rosser Ave. earlier this summer, according to Sue From, who volunteers at Connections Coffee House.
“They are very friendly and offer some good deals,” she wrote in an email to the NOW. “I’d like to see more people in the area discover it and support it.”
Surf’s Up fundraiser
Rip Curl is holding its annual Surf’s Up fundraiser this month.
The Surf’s Up for Autism fundraiser gives children with autism and their families the chance to travel to Tofino for some surfing in September, according to Metropolis at Metrotown’s website. The fundraiser runs until Aug. 20.
Those interested in donating should go to Rip Curl at the mall to do so. Those who donate more than $10 are eligible to enter to win a F1 standup paddle board or a hockey stick signed by the Vancouver Canucks, according to the website. Only those 18 or older are allowed to enter. For more information on Surf’s Up, go to ripcurlsurfsup.com.
