What’s happening?

Burnaby fashion designer Yifat Jovani is hosting a studio shopping night Friday, May 19, to show off her new studio space on Hastings Street.

 

What can I expect?

Well, the evening is meant to introduce the community to Jovani and her designs, which she dubs: clothing for real women. The pieces are casual but with a touch of flair so they work for after-work events, too, she told the NOW in a previous interview.

Visitors will get a chance to check out Jovani’s new studio space and the new spring collection. There will be opportunities to buy items, too.

Oh, and did we mention snacks and drinks? Because Jovani said she’s bringing those, too.

 

Where is the studio?

You’ll find Yifat Jovani Designs at 4759 Hastings St. (between Gamma and Beta avenues). Visitors are asked to enter from the back. It’s located in the basement of Muckabout Gift Gallery, a funky little shop that sells artisan creations.

 

When is it?

The studio shopping night is on from 6 to 9 p.m.
